3RD PAOFI Scholars Youth Camp

Around 150 participants joined the 3rd PAOFI Scholars Youth Camp which lasted for 2 days, May 18-19, 2019 at the St. Luigi Orione Seminary Sports Complex. The event was launched with a theme of “PAOFI Scholars in Mission: Beloved. Gifted. Empowered.”

The scholars were very lucky to hear not just one, but three enthusiastic speakers who talked about the theme of this year’s youth camp. Ms. Pia Montalban (BELOVED), Bro. John Carl Angelo Sario (GIFTED) and Mr. Ralph Deo Ponce (EMPOWERED) shared their thoughts, talents and own experiences to the scholars.

The scholars also learned about cooperation, leadership and teamwork as they played various games prepared for them in the camp. A celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by the Executive Director of PAOFI Fr. Bernardo Young Tae Seo, FDP ended the first day of the event. A solidarity night featuring a variety show contest was then presented to showcase the hidden talents of the scholars.

The scholars enjoyed their 2-day camp which was filled with new learnings and unforgettable memories. The scholars got a chance to bond with each other and meet new friends.

We would like to thank the PAOFI staffs and volunteers who organized this event as well as the youths from the Parish Youth Ministry who facilitated the campers together with some PAOFI Scholars. And most especially we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to ANCOP Canada and our other dear sponsors who made this event possible. They provided the things that the campers used for the 2-day youth camp such as food, camping materials and transportation.
