Miracles of Easter and Abundance of Blessings

In the most difficult of times, people with pure hearts  will come rescue those who are in need. Touching the lives of communities through acts of kindness and charity. This is the miracle of Easter and abundance of blessings.

Payatas Orione Foundation, Inc. (PAOFI) managed to continue its services to the beneficiaries in Payatas in spite of the on-going threat of pandemic. With more than two years, the staff and volunteers already managed to adjust to the “new normal” and the current Covid-19 situations.

Nutrition: Feeding and RUTF

The battle against hunger and malnutrition has been a mandate of the PAOFI Feeding Program since the very beginning. By December of 2021, 88% of the 345 total number of PAOFI Feeding beneficiaries have gained normal nutritional status despite the struggles of pandemic.

As of January 2022, 353 children are currently being catered by the 9 Feeding Centers of PAOFI Feeding Program. 50 kids from MDPP, 51 from Lourdes Center, 66 from Ascension Center, 30 from St. Joseph – Molave Center, 25 from Sagrada Familia Center, 25 from San Isidro Center, 30 from Sto. Nino Center, 40 from Nazareno Center, and 35 from St. Benedict Center. PAOFI Feeding Program, along with its network of volunteers, aims to help more kids and help eradicate hunger even in the humblest of ways they can give.

Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) Program has treated 141 moderately undernourished children at the end of December 2021. And as of January this year we have 65 moderately undernourished children currently enrolled in the project.

Education: Scholarship and Math Tutorial

Knowledge holds such great power that can help administer change. For the School Year 2021-2022, 224 scholars from Elementary to College are currently under the PAOFI Education Program and 40 out of the total scholars are enrolled in the Math Tutorial in partnership with Kumon Philippines, Inc.

Health Program: Fr. Angelo Falardi Health Clinic and TB Management

PAOFI’s affordable health-related services have been put into the limelight as the pandemic revealed the importance of  healthcare in the community. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Fr. Angelo Falardi Health Clinic receives 15 patients daily from Monday to Saturday for Video-Call Consultation/Telemedicine. All staff and volunteers of PAOFI are fully-vaccinated to ensure theirs and the safety of every patient that they will interact with.

A total of 3,576 patients were recorded to have medical consultations in the Falardi Health Clinic from January-December of 2021. At present, 392 patients have been provided with Falardi’s Health Services from January to February 2022.

This year, PAOFI is also celebrating 15 Years of Charity and Compassion. The undeniable progress of PAOFI’s programs and service will never be possible without the help of the generous sponsors who have constantly supported the foundations’ goals for the Payatas Community. We are enormously grateful for your unwavering help to the people who are in need. Your benevolence has been a constant aid in changing people’s lives.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!
